I am a licensed and certified speech and language pathologist who has worked with a full range of special needs children and adults. I love working with all aspects of the special needs community; however, I specialize in working with kids who struggle with big baffling behaviors. In 2021, I was talking to a client's mom and I learned that she hadn't had family photos taken since her kids were little because of her son's behavioral struggles. I quickly learned that many of my clients did not feel like photographers could be patient and understanding enough with their special needs family members. This sparked a passion in me to serve the special needs community by combining my skills of speech pathology and photography. I know that each special needs person is different and has specific needs. I am very intentional with each of my special needs photography sessions. I send out a questionnaire prior to each special needs session so that I can learn more about how to best serve each individual.
